At the end of October 2021, Netflix announced that there would be a film which means season 5 is not the last season we expected.
Film Making is set to start in early 2022 in a new film with Alexander Dreymon again to reply its role. Film making will take place in Hungary and England and will see Ed Bazalgette directly.
Exactly what stories will be discussed in this film have not been seen, with the Nigel Marchant producer saying that season 5 “fully concluded the series” but added, “there is always one more story we want to convey.”
