Kyiv: Volodymyr Zelensky’s Ukrainian president released a self-shot video from Central Kyiv on Friday swore next to a key helper to remain and defend the capital against the Russian invasion.
“We are all here. Our military is here. Residents in the Society are here. We are all here defending our independence, our country, and it will remain like this,” Zelensky said, standing outside the presidential building.
Wearing green olive military style clothes and standing with the prime minister, chief of staff and other senior helpers, Zelensky seems to respond to the pressure from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Russian troops clashed briefly with Ukrainian forces for the first time in Kyiv himself on Friday.
Greater strength to hold back the capital and the city is preparing for the possibility of air strikes.
Meanwhile, in the address broadcast on television from Moscow, Putin Branded Zelensky’s “terrorist” and “a group of drug addicts and Neo-Nazi”, urged the Ukrainian military for rebellion.
Zelensky had received support from many Western leaders because of his determination to fight Putin’s invasion, and European Union Charles Michel’s head embed a video of the Ukrainian leader in a tweet.
“The free and democratic democratic spirit is strong,” Michel said.
The European Union will impose a formidable new economic penalty in Russia for the invasion, and Putin itself has been a list of sanctions for the first time.
But Kyiv has encouraged UE members and NATO to do more, especially by supplying sophisticated weapons and not including Russia from the world financial network.
