China on Monday said India and Pakistan must hold a dialogue as soon as possible and launch an “comprehensive” investigation into the recent “accident shooting” from India that landed in Punjab Province Pakistan.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian, during media direction here, said both Pakistan and India are important countries in South Asia and they share responsibility to enforce the security and stability of the region.
Asked by a Pakistani journalist about the Chinese response to “unintentional shootings” from Indian missiles, he said: “We have recorded relevant information”.
“China calls countries to hold dialogue and communication as soon as possible, and look thoroughly into the incident, increase sharing information, and immediately build a reporting mechanism so that the incident will not occur again, and misunderstanding and misunderstandings can be avoided.” He said in revised comments posted on the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
