Today, Salt Lake County Health Department Executive Director Dr. Angela C. Dunn gave a general wellbeing request requiring individuals in Salt Lake County, paying little mind to inoculation status or past COVID-19 disease, to wear well-fitting covers when inside (or queueing outside) out in the open. For ideal security, Dr. Dunn suggests wearing respirators, like KN95s, rather than fabric covers, if conceivable.
The request, #2022-01, is in light of the record-breaking flood of the Omicron COVID-19 variation; it produces results at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, and is presently wanted to be in power until 5 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022.
“We quickly need to use every contraption open to ensure our centers can continue to give incredible clinical consideration through this flood,” said Dr. Dunn. “We in like manner need to ensure that our basic organizations have the staff vital to work—from law necessity, to wrinkle drivers, to instructors. Exemptions to the order include:
- Individuals under two years of age and those with medical conditions, impairments or disabilities that prevent wearing a mask.
- Individuals engaging in work where they are alone and individuals for whom wearing a mask would create a risk to the individual related to their work as determined by local, state or federal regulators or workplace safety guidelines.
